The Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo is naming a new Chair of their Board of Directors.
Colleen Kearney, the current Vice President of Human Resources at Syncrude, is being appointed as the Chair after serving on the board over the past three years.
Her promotion comes after Bruno Francoeur recently resigned after serving in the position since 2015.
“As a board, we will continue to work hard and provide governance for the RRC to positively influence residents from Conklin to Fort Chipewyan through recreation and fun for many years to come,” said Kearney, in a release.
Kearney also serves on the Board of Directors for Waypoints.
The RRCWB currently operates the facilities at MacDonald Island Park as well as facilities within RMWB rural hamlets including the Anzac Recreation Centre and the Conklin Multiplex.
