A 26-year-old Calgary man is facing multiple impaired driving charges in Wood Buffalo.
One June 4, Wood Buffalo RCMP received numerous complaints of a man driving erratically on Highway 63 going towards Highway 881.
As police arrived, the driver sped away and due to public safety the Mounties didn’t follow the truck.
A description of the vehicle was provided and members of Wood Buffalo Integrated Traffic Unit found the man at a stop south of Fort McMurray.
The man, who can’t be named at this time, was arrested and charged with driving impaired, driving impaired over 80mg, flight from a peace officer, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He’s set to appear in a Fort McMurray courtroom on July 24.
