Only one COVID-19 case linked to Imperial Oil’s Kearl Lake site remains active.
In an email sent to Mix News, a spokesperson for Alberta Health says 109 of the 110 cases with ties to the oilsands, north of Fort McMurray, have recovered.
This individual is currently in isolation in the province.
All 24 cases outside of the Alberta have recovered. This includes 19 in British Columbia, three in Saskatchewan, one in Nova Scotia, and one in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The outbreak will be declared over after all cases have recovered and there are have been additional days with no cases.
Meanwhile, the outbreak at Canadian Natural Resources Horizon site, also north of Fort McMurray, was declared over last week.
Five individuals who worked as for service providers for the oilsands had previously tested positive but have since recovered.
