Five more cases of COVID-19 are being discovered in Fort McMurray and five more case in the rural areas.
The province announced on Saturday 69 new cases across Alberta – putting the total at 7,957.
Fort McMurray also had one more recovery which puts the active total in the community at 17.
Twelve cases remain active in the rural areas.
The majority of active cases in the region are linked to one social gathering.
Across the RMWB, 37 individuals – 30 in Fort McMurray and seven in the rural areas – have recovered from the virus.
They are among the 7,283 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents over 91 per cent of the reported cases.
Meanwhile, there were no new deaths from COVID-19 in the province over the past 24-hours – keeping the death toll at 154.
None of the deaths have been in the RMWB.
