COVID-19 is claiming the life of another individual in Fort McMurray.
The province announced on Tuesday there were four additional deaths from the virus across Alberta – one of which lived in the community.
This is the sixth death related to COVID-19 in Fort McMurray and the RMWB.
Of the four newly announced deaths two men, one in his 50s and the other in his 60s, lived in the north zone and were dealing with other comorbidities.
It’s unclear which one was from Fort McMurray as Alberta Health doesn’t release any more information due to patient confidentiality.

Fort McMurray is seeing a big drop in active COVID-19 cases.
The province also announced on Tuesday 877 new cases over the past day.
There are currently 20,013 active cases across Alberta, while there have been a total of 220,559 positive tests.
There are also 691 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 187 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added 63 new cases and 136 recoveries in the past 24 hours which puts the active total at 1,326.
The rural areas added three new cases and five recoveries, lowering the total of active cases to 60.
Wood Buffalo National Park’s active total remains at two.
Fort McMurray remains the worst in the province when it comes to spread of the virus.
The community is averaging around 1,670 cases per 100,000 people.
The rural areas have the third-worst rate, trailing the community and the Municipal District Of Bighorn.
In total, 4,959 individuals across the RMWB – 4,729 in Fort McMurray, 220 in the rural areas, and 10 in Wood Buffalo National Park – have recovered.
They are among the 198,394 who’ve recovered across the province. This represents nearly 90 per cent of reported cases.
