A major drug bust in Fort McMurray has led to one suspect facing a total of 25 charges.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team, with the help of Wood Buffalo RCMP, executed a search warrant on Jan. 18 that led to the seizure of more than half a kilogram of cocaine, 40 illicit prescription pills, and 13 thousand dollars cash from a home in the Wood Buffalo neighbourhood.
Along with the drugs and cash, ALERT also seized three firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition. One of the firearms was originally reported stolen in Bruderheim, a community just northeast of Edmonton.
As a result, 38-year-old Catlin Moores faces numerous charges, including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and several firearms-related offences.
Moores remains in custody and will appear in court in February.
