There are a couple of water main breaks impacting things in Fort McMurray.
Father Patrick Mercredi Community High School is canceling classes for Thursday due to the building not having water. According to the Fort McMurray Catholic School Division, classes are only going to be impacted Thursday, as there is no school on Friday. There is no damage to the building according to the School Division.
Frank Spragins High School is also closed Thursday due to the water main break. Classes are expected to resume on Monday. Crews anticipate work on restoring service will take most of the day.
Centrefire Place is also closed, and all ice times are canceled due to a water main break. According to RMWB, the break at Centrefire Place has been repaired, but crews want to ensure other nearby repairs are completed before reopening.
Homes impacted by a loss of service on Fraser Avenue have been notified. Repairs are underway.
