Local HERO Foundation M*A*S*H Bash raises $150,000

The Local HERO Foundation is thanking residents for their support following the weekend’s successful M*A*S*H Bash.

Over $150,000 was raised this weekend for our region’s only 24/7 emergency helicopter rescue service. Three hundred guests attended the Foundation’s event Saturday to support the vital service for residents of the RMWB and Northeast Alberta.

“We are thrilled with the community support,” said Lorna Ash, Executive Director for the Local HERO Foundation. “It is inspiring to see how the community comes together.”

Guests at the event enjoyed the opportunity to try out the Medevac Flight Simulator and Night Vision Goggles that pilots use during night rescue operations.

Founders of the Local HERO foundation, Paul and Andrea Spring, received a standing ovation for their dedication and the legacy they built, ensuring our region is a better and safer place to live.
