Fort McKay Northern Spirits Head into Homecoming on a High

The Fort McKay Northern Spirits U19 Girls’ Football team is breaking new ground as North America’s first Indigenous girls’ tackle football team. With a 4–1 record and a four-game win streak, they’re tied for first as they gear up for their homecoming game this Saturday, May 17 at Elsie Fabian School. Their momentum shows in the stats: Bella Cardinal leads in receiving, Dottie Trudeau is third in rushing, Kayleigh Boucher leads in passing, and Justice Berens ranks third in tackles.
