The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team will be investigating an in custody death in Fort McMurray.
The Wood-Buffalo RCMP arrested a man who appeared intoxicated near a gas station on Athabasca Avenue. He resisted, and was eventually put in handcuffs.
The officers then noted he went into medical distress. Despite life saving measures from the officers and paramedics the man died in hospital.
Police say there were several witnesses, and some of them were using their cameras to record what happened.

No other details about the incident, or the name of the person who died are being released right now.
