Canadian National is putting $510 million into Alberta rail infrastructure this year to support sustainable growth and supply chain efficiency. The railway giant says the investment will fund track maintenance and upgrades, including boosting intermodal capacity in Edmonton and improving its mainline between Edson and Hinton. CN President and CEO Tracy Robinson says the goal is to build a more resilient network and strengthen service for customers across North America. Parkland County Mayor Adam Gamble says CN’s infrastructure is a key driver for local businesses and global trade through hubs like the Port of Prince Rupert. The 2025 plan follows last year’s $357 million investment in Alberta.
