Ninth Annual Pride Fest
Wood Buffalo Pride returns with ninth annual festival at Heritage Shipyard
FORT McMURRAY, AB. — Wood Buffalo Pride is set to host its ninth annual Pride Festival this weekend, celebrating the theme of “Radical Joy.”
The free, family-friendly event takes place Saturday, June 28, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Heritage Shipyard.
The festival will feature live performances, food trucks, artisan vendors, carnival games, face painting, henna, and a Two Spirit Teepee. A beer garden and the annual Pride Leadership Awards ceremony are also part of the day’s programming.
Organizers say the event welcomes all community members to celebrate inclusion, identity, and joy.
