RCMP release images and ask for public’s help in identifying suspect
FORT McMURRAY, AB. — An ATM customer is out $400 and Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect.
Mounties say the theft happened June 28 at the CIBC branch on Manning Avenue in downtown Fort McMurray. A customer accidentally left their bank card in the machine, and by the time they returned, the card had already been used to withdraw money.
Investigators describe the suspect as a young man, about five-foot-two, wearing a white button-up shirt and carrying a cellphone in a purple case.

Police have obtained surveillance footage from the bank and are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect to come forward. The images are available on our news page.
