FORT MCMURRAY — Starting December 2, Air Canada will introduce a new year-round nonstop route connecting Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM) with Vancouver International Airport (YVR), offering travelers seamless access to one of Canada’s busiest global hubs.
The new service will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays—providing convenient options for both business and leisure travelers. From Vancouver, passengers will enjoy smooth onward connections to major international destinations including Manila, Sydney, Brisbane, Hong Kong, and Singapore, as well as popular B.C. cities like Kelowna, Prince George, Nanaimo, and Victoria.
“This new connection is a direct result of our ongoing work to strengthen air service for our region—and we’re thrilled to see it take flight,” said local officials. “It’s a win for travelers, businesses, and the broader community.”
The addition of this route underscores Air Canada’s commitment to expanding regional connectivity and enhancing travel options for northern Alberta residents.
