Keyano College distributes more than $715,000 in student awards
FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — Keyano College says it handed out more than $715,000 in student awards last year, helping hundreds of learners continue their studies.
The college’s 2024–25 Annual Award Impact Report shows $715,399 was distributed through 530 scholarships and bursaries.
“We believe in the power of education to change lives,” said Chantal Beaver, associate vice-president of public engagement. “This past year, our student awards program helped hundreds of students move forward with confidence, knowing someone believed in them.”
Nursing student Morgan Gros, a mother of two with a third child on the way, said the financial help has made it possible to keep working toward her degree.
“My nursing journey has been a family affair,” she said. “It is only through the kindness and generosity of awards like this one that I have been able to continue my journey while raising a family.”
Keyano College serves northeastern Alberta through its Clearwater Campus and Suncor Energy Industrial Centre in Fort McMurray, offering programs in energy, construction, business, health, arts, sciences and education.
