I’ve been a Blue Jays fan for as long as I can remember. Some of my best memories are wrapped up in baseball — taking my dad to games for Father’s Day, hopping in the car with friends for a last-minute road trip to catch a random matchup, or surprising someone with tickets for their birthday. Baseball has always been one of my happy places. But I will say, I have never yelled at my TV so much in my entire life!
But this World Series? Wow. That was next-level. Every pitch, every swing, every nail-biting extra inning — it felt like the whole world was holding its breath. It reminded me why I fell in love with the game in the first place. The drama, the energy, the way a single swing can change everything.
Even though my Jays didn’t win the World Series this year, it was impossible not to get swept up in the emotion.
In my eyes, you can win a title, and you can win a championship. The Dodgers had the score and the win for the title, but The Blue Jays are the real champions here.
Here’s to the love of the game, the memories we make at the ballpark, and the hope that next year… it’s the Blue Jays’ turn again. 💙
What a series.
