There’s a new trend making the rounds online — people are challenging themselves to speak for a full minute without using any filler words. No “uhm,” no “like,” no “sooo,” no “you know.” Just pure, uninterrupted thought.
Sounds easy, right? Until you actually try it. Suddenly your brain freezes, your mouth panics, and the only thing that comes out is… “uhhhhh.”

It’s basically the verbal equivalent of walking a tightrope while juggling flaming marshmallows. Simple in theory — absolute chaos in practice.
The challenge has become a fun way to test your focus (and maybe roast your friends a little). Some people sound like polished TED Talk speakers; others last five seconds before crashing and burning in a sea of “likes.”
So, here’s your dare: hit record and give it a try. Can you fill 60 seconds with nothing but actual words? No crutches, no “ums,” no “likes”?
Bonus points if you don’t laugh halfway through — or start over for the fifth time.
