Fort McMurray – Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of assaulting a pedestrian in Timberlea last month.
Police say the incident happened around 6 a.m. on Oct. 14 near Leitner Gate and Laffont Way. A man confronted someone walking to a bus stop, accused them of breaking into vehicles and a fight broke out. The victim was hurt. RCMP were not notified until Nov. 7.
The suspect is described as a white man between five foot nine and six feet tall, about 200 pounds, wearing a black Carhartt jacket and a baseball hat. He was driving a lifted Dodge diesel truck.
Mounties have obtained surveillance video of the truck and hope someone will recognize the vehicle or the man involved.
