FORT McMURRAY — Women from across sectors gathered in Fort McMurray last week for Her Leadership Journey, an event hosted by the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce celebrating leadership, connection and community impact.
The evening featured a fireside conversation with Shelley Powell of Suncor, Nicole Bouchier of the Bouchier Group, and leadership expert Roberta Jamieson. The discussion focused on defining moments, challenges and lessons shaping their leadership journeys, with an emphasis on courage, integrity and thoughtful disruption.
Organizers said the inaugural event was intended to create space for honest dialogue and inspiration, while recognizing women whose leadership continues to strengthen the regional workforce and community.
The chamber also acknowledged a wide range of sponsors and partners for their support, saying their contribution helped bring the event to life and underscored a shared commitment to leadership and meaningful change in the region.
