FORT McMURRAY— The Rehoboth Alliance, in partnership with the Afro-Canadian community in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, will host its 12th annual Black History Month Banquet and Awards Night on Feb. 27 at SMS Equipment Place.
The event, themed “Building Bridges: Creating Opportunities,” runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at 1 MacDonald Dr. Organizers say the evening will celebrate leadership, entrepreneurship and community contributions across the region.
Clint Boodram, regional manager of Black Community Business Development for Western Canada One TD with TD Bank Group, is slated to attend. The program will also feature a guest of honour and a master of ceremonies drawn from local business leadership.
Tickets are $75 for early bird singles and $80 regular price. Early bird tables of 10 are $750, increasing to $800 after the promotion ends.
The banquet has become a cornerstone Black History Month event in Fort McMurray, bringing together residents, business leaders and community partners for an evening of recognition and networking.
Organizers say proceeds support ongoing community initiatives aimed at strengthening inclusion and economic opportunity in Wood Buffalo. Registration is available online.
