FORT McMURRAY — Residents from across the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo are being invited to meet with local leaders at an upcoming community drop in taking place in the Waterways neighbourhood.
Councillor Jennifer Vardy says she and other members of council will host a coffee and conversation event on March 5 at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 165.
Vardy said the informal gathering is designed to give residents from across the region an opportunity to connect directly with councillors, ask questions and share ideas about issues affecting their communities.
No formal presentations are planned, with organizers encouraging open conversation in a relaxed setting. The two hour event is open to the public.
