Just when you thought you’d heard it all… about 20 camels were disqualified from a beauty pageant for allegedly getting cosmetic enhancements.
That’s right. A camel beauty contest.

The event – part of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival – is a massive annual celebration where camels are judged on things like lip shape, head size, and overall “desert elegance.” There’s serious prize money on the line.
Apparently, some owners decided natural beauty wasn’t enough and allegedly used Botox and fillers to plump up lips and enhance features.
Yes. Camel lip filler.
Judges weren’t having it and disqualified the enhanced contestants. Somewhere, a camel is standing there like, “I woke up like this,” while officials check for cosmetic tampering.
Imagine the judging panel:
“Camel #12 has suspiciously fabulous cheekbones.”
“Is that natural… or is that desert Juvederm?”
It’s comforting to know that no matter the species, pageant drama is universal.
Moral of the story?
Even in the desert… authenticity matters.
