Space is having a moment again.
NASA is getting ready to launch Artemis II, the first crewed mission toward the Moon in more than 50 years. It’s not a landing mission just yet… think of it more like a test run to make sure everything works before humans actually set foot back on the Moon.

Four astronauts will head out on a roughly 10-day journey, looping around the Moon and returning to Earth. It’s all about testing the spacecraft, life support systems, navigation, and communication. Basically everything needed to safely send people deeper into space.
And yes, there’s a Canadian astronaut on board, which means Canada is officially part of the Moon comeback.
If all goes well, this mission sets the stage for future lunar landings and eventually even missions to Mars.
So, while no one’s walking on the Moon just yet, this is a pretty big step toward getting back there.
