We’re days away from the “spookiest” day of the year and it’s time to crank up some scary tunes that will wake the dead.
5. Ray Parker Jr. – Ghostbusters
It’s not an official list if I don’t include the theme song to one of the best Halloween themed movies of all time.
4. Rihanna – Disturbia
We spin this a lot outside of Halloween, but the music video, lyrics and beat ooze spooky and is a must on any Halloween playlist.
3. Rockwell – Somebody’s Watching Me
I mean, the title is about as creepy as it gets, and the keyboard melody adds to it. Also, I miss 80’s music videos, even if they were super cheesy.
2. Blue Oyster Cult – (Don’t Fear) The Reaper
Some might associate this banger with Halloween and some may associate it with the devils lettuce. Either way, it’s a must for October 31st. Throw this on Halloween, spark one and the candy doesn’t stand a chance.
- Michael Jackson – Thriller
Did you think this masterpiece wasn’t going to be at number 1? Halloween hasn’t been the same since this gem dropped in 1982 and I bet any kid that watched this music video back in the day had nightmares for weeks.
