If you’re looking to make some extra money, Elections Canada is looking to hire around 50 people to work on election day here in Fort Mac.
The available positions involve tasks such as setting up and operating the polls, welcoming and guiding voters, managing the registration desk, and overseeing poll operations. Compensation ranges from $20 to $26 per hour, based on the specific role, and includes payment for training, which is available online.
Elections Canada is aiming to hire approximately 500 workers for election day across Northern Alberta. Their goal is to recruit about 25 individuals in the Yellowhead electoral district, 50 each in Lakeland and Fort McMurray–Cold Lake, and around 150 in Peace River–Westlock.
