Fort McMurray’s Therese Greenwood is a finalist for the 2025 Award of Excellence for Best Short Story from the Crime Writers of Canada this is her fourth nomination.
Her story Hatchcheck Bingo, set in the Prohibition era, appears in the crime anthology The Thirteenth Letter, which is also up for a Derringer Award.
Greenwood is a Spur Award winner and was previously recognized for her wildfire memoir What You Take With You.
The winners will be announced May 30th.
