Much anticipated ATC Cultural Festival Marks Fifth Year with Expanded Celebration
FORT McMURRAY — The Athabasca Tribal Council’s Cultural Festival is returning this fall for its highly anticipated fifth anniversary, promising four days of traditional music, dance, storytelling, art and food that highlight the rich Dene and Cree cultures of the region.
Running from September 11 to 14, the festival has become a staple cultural event in Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, bringing together communities from across Treaty 8 to celebrate and share First Nations traditions and knowledge.
“Partners make the ATC Cultural Festival possible,” said Chief Allan Adam, President of the Athabasca Tribal Council. “Centerfire’s support is a powerful statement from a First Nations-owned company to strengthen the community’s connection to our culture and traditions.”
Centerfire Energy Group is returning as presenting partner for a third consecutive year.
The event, which began in 2021, continues to grow in scope and participation. Organizers are calling on local businesses and volunteers to help support the festival’s expansion, through sponsorships, in-kind donations, or team volunteer efforts.
