Fort McMurray will host the Baseball Canada 18U National Championships from August 12–16, marking the fourth time the community has welcomed the event since 2018. Supported by a $57,000 grant from the Alberta government, the tournament will feature 264 athletes and is expected to draw up to 1,000 spectators.
The event is projected to boost the local economy by $1.4 million as teams and fans visit hotels, shops, and restaurants. Top teams include Alberta’s St. Albert Cardinals and the Fort McMurray Oil Giants.
Fans are invited to join the action at Legacy Dodge Field and Ross Hennigar Park for a family-friendly weekend of baseball.
