Some foods get a lot of hype, but most of us are just faking it. Kale is “healthy,” but bitter. Sushi looks fancy, but raw fish can be tricky. Brussels sprouts only taste good roasted.
Pumpkin shows up everywhere, yet some only tolerate it for the season. Matcha is bitter and grassy, but Instagram loves it. Avocado is creamy and trendy, but sometimes more social pressure than snack.

And then there’s olives, quinoa, and tofu—bitter, bland, or spongy—but people pretend to love them.
Eating should be fun. Smile, nod, and enjoy what really tastes good—no pretending needed.
What are some foods you think people pretend to like?
