Acden Show and Shine raises more than $33,000 for Centre of Hope
FORT McMURRAY, AB. — The fifth annual Acden Show and Shine has raised more than $33,000 to support people experiencing homelessness in Fort McMurray.
Organizers say the $33,709 donation will cover nine months of daily support at the Centre of Hope’s Drop-In Centre, the largest single funding source for the program.
“This event is more than just a celebration of cars, it’s an example of the community strength and collaboration that is unique to our region,” said Acden president and CEO Garry Flett.
Centre of Hope executive director Rosie Keating called the donation a lasting gift. “We are truly honoured that Acden has chosen us as the recipient of these funds, which will have a lasting impact on the people we serve,” she said.
