Alberta launches labour market information portal
Alberta has launched a new Labour Market Information portal aimed at helping students, job seekers, and employers make informed decisions in a shifting economy.
The province says the platform will provide real-time data on jobs in demand, industry changes and skills needed across sectors.
“Alberta’s economy is strong, diverse and full of opportunity, and we want to ensure Albertans have every tool available to seize it,” Jobs Minister Joseph Schow said in a statement.
The portal complements the Alberta Economic Dashboard, which tracks investment trends, and is part of the province’s new Alberta Jobs Strategy.
Mike Holden, vice-president and chief economist at the Business Council of Alberta, said the tool will “support stronger workforce planning and better career choices for Albertans.”
