FMPSD Education Winners
FORT MCMURRAY, AB. — The Fort McMurray Public School Division has marked a milestone with its tenth annual Partners in Education event, honouring more than 100 community members, businesses and organizations for their contributions to local schools.
The division hosted the celebration this week, recognizing volunteers, donors and partners who support student success across academics, arts, athletics and extracurricular programs.
“Partnerships between students, staff, trustees, parents and the wider community create a positive and thriving environment,” the division said in a statement. “These contributions are pivotal to ensuring daily success.”
Awards were presented in a range of categories, from volunteers and school councils to social profit agencies and businesses. The 2024 and 2025 award recipients included:

Community Volunteer Coach Partner of the Year, 2025 — Jenni Watson
Community Program Leader Partner of the Year, 2025 — Andrea Munro
School Council Member Partner of the Year, 2024 — Marie McKay
Parent Association Member Partner of the Year, 2024 — Hope Martin
School Council Member Partner of the Year, 2025 — Donal O’Connor
School Council Partner of the Year, 2024 — Fort McMurray Christian School Council
School Society Partner of the Year, 2025 — Walter & Gladys Hill Friends of Ravens Society
Social Profit Partner of the Year, 2024 — YMCA of Northern Alberta
Social Profit Partner of the Year, 2025 — Classroom Champions
Community Initiative Partner of the Year — Leroy and Britney Penney
