FORT MCMURRAY–Wood Buffalo RCMP have arrested 21 people following a search of a residence on Hill Drive in Downtown Fort McMurray.
The investigation began earlier this month after police received a complaint about suspicious activity at the property.
On October 17, around 11:30 a.m., the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit executed a judicially authorized search warrant with support from the General Investigation Section. All individuals on the property were taken into custody without incident.
Police say trace amounts of suspected controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found at the scene.
Two of those arrested were wanted on unrelated provincial warrants. The remaining individuals were released without charges at this time.
Wood Buffalo RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and encourage residents to report any suspicious or criminal activity. Community tips help guide police patrols and investigations.
