ALERT Seizure, October 28, 2025
EDMONTON — Police have seized about $200,000 worth of drugs and cash after search warrants were executed at homes in Edmonton, St. Albert and Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The searches followed a months-long drug trafficking investigation led by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).
The coordinated operation took place October 21 and involved ALERT’s organized crime unit in Edmonton, along with members of the St. Albert RCMP, Swift Current RCMP, and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Trafficking and Response Team.
Officers seized 1,850 grams of cocaine, 192 grams of a suspected cocaine cutting agent, four grams of fentanyl and $24,340 in cash.
Two people were arrested in Alberta, though no charges have been laid. In Saskatchewan, 32-year-old Tristian Humeniuk-Francis of Edmonton was charged with several drug-related offences. ALERT says the investigation remains active and further charges may follow pending consultation with Crown prosecutors.
Police say the investigation began in May 2025 when officers gathered intelligence about suspected drug trafficking between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Members of the public with information about drug or gang activity are urged to contact police or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
