I’m a Dodgers fan who lives in Canada.
BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING, I didn’t become one last year or this year. It started all the way back in 2013 (I was 9) with a man named Yasiel Puig. Also my grandpa was a Dodgers fan and he died. So yeah go ahead, make a joke, call me a bandwagon, just remember you’ll be making fun of me and my dead grandpa. Yeah that’s what I thought. I’ve also turned my entire family into Dodgers fans L O L!
Okay now onto the reason I’m writing this. The Dodgers won the World Series on November 1st. It is November 5th. And according to EVERYBODY (in Canada) I’m still not allowed to talk about it. The first thing Marina told me on Monday is that we are “not talking about it” meanwhile all my other coworkers seemingly don’t want to talk about it either.
Now it could be they’re sad about the loss,
it could be that they talked ALL this talk about how the Jays were going to beat the Dodgers blah blah blah,
or it could be that they simply don’t like me. Jury’s still out.
The question still remains: WHEN AM I ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT THE WORLD SERIES?!
It’s not that I’m trying to brag. It feels good that my team beat 99.9999% of everyone that I knows team. BUT it was also a REALLY good World Series.
I’m just expected to not talk about the 18 inning game 3?
I’m just not supposed to talk about how INSANE Ernie Clement was?
The lodged ball?
The catch at the wall?
The Miguel Rojas homer?
Trey Yesavage?
The play at the plate?
NONE OF IT?!?!?!
So please, if you’re reading this, let me know,
When can I talk about the World Series?
