FORT MCMURRAY— RCMP are looking for two suspects after a vehicle owner was assaulted during an early morning mischief incident in Fort McMurray.
Police say officers were called to Tundra Drive at about 5:43 a.m. on Nov. 24 after an alarm went off on a parked vehicle. The owner went to investigate and found an unknown man inside the vehicle.
RCMP say a confrontation followed and turned physical. A second man arrived in a black Dodge Durango and threatened the owner before striking him with the vehicle. The first suspect then got into the Durango and both men fled. The victim had minor injuries.
The first suspect is described as a white man about 175 centimetres tall wearing Air Jordan shoes and a hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect, who was driving the Durango, is described as Black.
Anyone with dash camera or surveillance footage from the area, or information about the suspects or the vehicle, is asked to contact Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780 788 4000 or 310 RCMP. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
Police remind residents to report suspicious or criminal activity, and to call 911 if a crime is in progress.
