2022 Regional Emergency Services Firetruck
Regional Emergency Services (RES) responded to a medical call on Shalestone Way on Wednesday evening, sending both a fire truck and an ambulance.
Firefighters and EMS personnel assessed the patient and provided care at the scene. Officials say the patient did not require transportation to hospital.
Images shared on social media showed a fire truck briefly stuck on the roadway, but RES confirms this did not affect the response. When emergency vehicles face access challenges, the city’s winter maintenance crews are available around the clock and can be dispatched immediately to support first responders.
In this case, RES crews were able to reach the patient and complete the call without additional assistance. The incident was resolved safely, and the roadway was cleared shortly afterward.
