Mayor Sandy Bowman
FORT MCMURRAY – The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the mayor’s annual state of the region address, with business and community leaders set to gather next month for a networking luncheon focused on the year ahead.
The 2026 Mayor’s Address Networking Luncheon is scheduled for March 4 at SMS Equipment Place at MacDonald Island Park. Mayor Sandy Bowman is expected to outline key priorities, recent developments and challenges facing Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo, along with his vision for continued growth.
The event, running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., is positioned as a major opportunity for local leaders to hear directly from the mayor while connecting with peers across the business and community sectors.
Following the address, attendees will be invited to take part in a discussion with additional leadership from the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The chamber said participants for that portion of the program will be announced at a later date.
Tickets are priced at $90 for chamber members and $100 for non members, with early bird rates available until Feb. 2. Seating is limited.
The chamber said the luncheon is aimed at anyone invested in the future of the region, including business owners, policymakers and engaged residents. Southern Cross Industries Ltd. is listed as the supporting sponsor for the event.
