Networking Luncheon with Dr. Scott MacPherson
FORT McMURRAY — The Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its monthly networking lunch, with this month’s event featuring a keynote address on the evolving role of post-secondary education in the region.
Dr. Scott MacPherson, president and CEO of Keyano College, will deliver a presentation titled “The Changing Landscape of Post-Secondary Education,” focusing on how institutions are adapting to meet shifting workforce and community needs.
The luncheon is scheduled for April 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fort McMurray Golf Club.
Organizers say the session will examine how post-secondary education is responding to economic demands in northern Alberta, including the role of local institutions in supporting skills development and training.
The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session, giving attendees an opportunity to engage directly with MacPherson and explore how education is evolving to align with industry priorities.
The Chamber says the format is designed to provide insight for businesses and community members interested in workforce development and regional growth.
Admission is $80 for Chamber members and $90 for non-members.
The event is part of the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to connect local business leaders and foster discussion on key issues affecting the region’s economy.
