Catholic Edwin Parr Winners Kristie Connolly and Claudia Boucher
FORT MCMURRAY — Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is announcing its recipients for the 2025-26 Edwin Parr recognition and Catholic Education Award.
Claudia Boucher has been named the division’s Catholic Education Award recipient. Officials say Boucher has made a strong impression, becoming a key part of the school community, with leadership rooted in faith and contributions extending beyond the classroom into the parish and wider community.
Kristie Connolly has been named the division’s Edwin Parr nominee for 2025-26. Officials describe Connolly as an exceptional educator who creates an inclusive and engaging classroom environment, blending curriculum with interactive learning approaches to support student success.
The Edwin Parr Teacher Award, named after a former Alberta School Boards Association president, recognizes outstanding first-year teachers who meet provincial teaching standards.
Eligible nominees must be in their first year of teaching from kindergarten to Grade 12, complete at least 100 full-time equivalent teaching days during the current school year and hold an interim professional certificate or equivalent. They must also have no more than 120 full-time equivalent teaching days prior to the current school year.
