Adam Sandler fans have some good news — Grown Ups 3 is officially happening. More than a decade after the second movie, Netflix has confirmed the third installment is in the works, with Sandler returning and co-writing the film alongside longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Happy Gilmore 2, is set to direct. A release date and full cast details haven’t been announced yet.

For anyone who grew up quoting these movies, this feels like a reunion nobody really expected to happen. The first two films weren’t exactly critics’ favourites, but fans loved the mix of childhood-friend chaos, ridiculous jokes, and Adam Sandler convincing everyone that hanging out with your buddies counts as a movie plot.
Now the gang is heading back for round three — and if history tells us anything, expect more questionable decisions, more yelling, and at least one scene where grown adults act like middle-school kids. Some things never change.
