Canada has officially entered a new food era.
Kraft Dinner has launched a KD Mac and Cheesecake, because apparently regular cheesecake was just too normal. The limited-edition dessert mixes the classic cheesy KD flavour into both the crust and the cheesecake filling itself.
The dessert is rolling out at select bakeries across Canada, including locations in Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, and Winnipeg.
Honestly, this feels like one of those ideas that started as a joke in a meeting and somehow made it all the way to production.
But at the same time… Canadians do love KD. It’s basically a national personality trait at this point. So maybe this was inevitable.
The reactions online have been exactly what you’d expect. Some people are excited to try the sweet-and-cheesy combo, while others are staring at photos of it trying to decide if they’re curious or deeply concerned.
Either way, you have to respect the confidence it takes to look at macaroni and cheese and think:
you know what this needs?
dessert energy.
The KD Mac and Cheesecake is only available for a limited time, which honestly might be the correct amount of time for something this chaotic.
