Taxes.
And spending an hour trying to figure out how to properly use the tv in your hotel room.
SERIOUSLY WHO DESIGNED IT?!? FROM THE “GUIDE”, TO THE CHANNELS, TO THE REMOTE, IT’S ALL BAD.
Let’s start with the so called “guide.” Why is it on a specific channel? Why can’t I just pull up the guide like I can at home while having my show continue to play in the background? There’s a guide button on the remote that when I hit does absolutely nothing. Why even have a guide if you’re only going to show the channels scrolling by at 0.00005km/hr.
Now let’s talk about these channels. Why do they go 30-1, 30-2, I’ve even seen it go as far as 30-3!!!! JUST USE WHOLE NUMBERS. DO YOU AS A HOTEL ONLY HAVE A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF CHANNEL NUMBERS YOU CAN USE??? GO 30, 31, 32. WHAT’S UP WITH THIS -2 BS?!?!?!
Now let’s talk about the remote. I don’t know why it has more than 5 buttons. The only ones that ever work are the power, volume up and down, and channel up and down. You ever try to hit pause on your hotel remote? Has it ever done anything? No. FOR GOD SAKES IT COMES WITH A RECORD BUTTON. I HAVE NEVER BEEN WATCHING A RIDICULOUS MARATHON IN MY HOTEL ROOM AND THOUGHT TO MYSELF “Man I’d really like to watch this episode again while I’m here.” NEVER ONCE.
And finally, I don’t know if you’ve been to a hotel recently, but they’re starting to block their hdmi ports. I used to get so tired of the hotel tv that I would just hook my laptop up to it. Nope not anymore. Sorry. Watch channels you’ve never heard of before, or don’t watch the tv. Those are your only options.
