FORT MCMURRAY — Police are investigating following a Sunday afternoon collision between a pickup truck and a dump truck on Highway 881.
Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to the two-vehicle collision near kilometre marker 263 at about 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Police say witnesses reported an eastbound Dodge Ram crossed the centre line and struck a westbound dump truck.
The driver of the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by EMS to the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Both lanes of Highway 881 were temporarily blocked following the collision.
RCMP say alcohol and speed are not believed to have been factors.
