Could Fort McMurray be getting its own reality TV moment?
A casting notice making the rounds online is looking for women to take part in a brand-new reality series exploring Alberta’s oil and gas industry.
The notice says a major Canadian production company is looking for women with big personalities, strong friendships, unique lifestyles and connections to Alberta’s oilfield community — whether that connection comes through a partner, family business, entrepreneurship, social circles or simply being part of the lifestyle.
Sounds pretty familiar around here.
The series is apparently going to explore the social side of Alberta’s oil culture and the people who live it every day.
Now, before we start wondering who in town is about to become the next reality TV villain… we can’t confirm all the details yet.
The casting notice is circulating online, but it’s not clear exactly where the series will be filmed, when production would happen, or whether Fort McMurray is specifically involved.
Still, you have to admit, if they ARE filming here, the possibilities are endless.
Oilfield money. Rotations. Big trucks. Big personalities. Camp stories. Shutdown season.
And somewhere, someone is already saying:
“I’m not here to make friends.”
We’ll be watching this one closely.
