I think we can all agree that Kraft Mac & Cheese is perfectly fine the way it is. It’s cheesy, it’s comforting, it’s there for you when you don’t feel like cooking. It doesn’t need a makeover.
But apparently, Kraft disagrees.
They’re getting into the holiday spirit with a brand-new Cinnamon Roll flavoured Mac & Cheese. Yes, cinnamon rolls. In your Kraft Dinner.
I’m not sure who was sitting in a boardroom and thought this was a good idea, but I have some questions. Who asked for this? Was anyone out there eating their KD and thinking, “You know what would make this better? If it tasted like breakfast”?
And if cinnamon rolls aren’t strange enough, Kraft is also introducing a Chili Crisp flavour. Because apparently, regular macaroni and cheese wasn’t exciting enough.
The limited-edition flavour is launching at Walmart in the United States, but unfortunately, there’s no word yet on whether it’ll make its way to Canada.
And honestly, I’m not sure we need it.
Kraft Dinner has been doing just fine for decades. We’ve got the original, we’ve got different cheese flavours, and we’ve got plenty of ways to make it weird ourselves by adding hot dogs or whatever happens to be left in the fridge.
We don’t need cinnamon rolls involved.
Now, maybe I’m being a little dramatic. Maybe it’s delicious. Maybe people will absolutely love it. But I’m also perfectly happy never finding out.
Would you actually try Cinnamon Roll Kraft Dinner? Or do you think some food combinations just don’t need to happen?
