FORT McMURRAY — Expectant and new parents in Fort McMurray are being invited to attend a free health fair focused on pregnancy, birth and early childhood resources.
The event, hosted by Primary Care Alberta, is scheduled for April 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fort McMurray Community Health Services on Thickwood Boulevard.
Organizers say healthcare professionals will be available to meet one-on-one with attendees, offering information on topics including prenatal care, childbirth and early childhood development.
The fair will also provide access to prenatal immunizations and guidance on routine childhood immunizations, infant feeding and nutrition, safety and mental health supports.
Participants can learn about pelvic health, sexual and reproductive health, as well as local prenatal education classes and other community services.
Representatives from local organizations are expected to attend, offering additional resources and support for families.
Officials say the event is aimed at improving access to care and connecting residents with available services.
