It was a dominant weekend for Fort McMurray’s U13 girls volleyball teams, who made a powerful statement on the court in Calgary.
After controlling play throughout the tournament, Fort McMurray squads faced off in an all-local championship match that delivered plenty of excitement. The gold medal was decided in a thrilling three-set showdown, showcasing the depth of talent and competitive spirit within the region.
Leading the charge were head coach Kate Beaulne alongside Madison Sullivan of Three Rivers Volleyball, and Kylie Follett, Sam Robinson, and Jayden Ferrence of Fort McMurray Thunder. Both programs demonstrated exceptional teamwork and preparation, dominating their competition from start to finish.
Three Rivers Volleyball captured gold after a strong tournament performance, while Fort McMurray Thunder earned silver, capping off an impressive weekend for both programs.
The weekend marked a major success for Fort McMurray volleyball, with local teams claiming both gold and silver in standout fashion.
