FORT McMURRAY — Visitors to the Wood Buffalo Regional Library may start noticing some changes in the coming weeks as renovation work begins on a refreshed community space expected to be unveiled later this summer.
Library officials say the facility will remain open throughout the renovation project while work continues in phases inside the building.
Patrons can expect shifting collections, moving boxes and some programs temporarily relocated as construction and redesign work gets underway.
The library says the project is intended to create an improved and more welcoming space for residents while continuing regular services during the renovations.
Officials say visitors may also notice increased activity inside the building as staff reorganize collections and adapt programming areas throughout the process.
The library thanked residents for their patience and support during the renovations and says more details about the redesigned space will be shared closer to the project’s completion later this summer.
