FORT McMURRAY. — A local theatre group is inviting performers and audience members to a cabaret celebrating diversity, self-expression and community at King Street Theatre later this month.
Swamp Rat Experience will host its annual Pride Cabaret on June 27, providing a stage for artists aged 18 and older to showcase their talents as June’s Pride Month celebrations continue.
Organizers are seeking performers of all experience levels from a range of disciplines, including dance, poetry, improv, musical theatre, stand-up comedy, music, acrobatics and mime.
June is recognized across Canada as Pride Month, a time to celebrate and support 2SLGBTQIA+ communities while promoting inclusion, visibility and equality.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with performances beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Admission will be by donation at the door.
